**Health Technology Assessment (HTA)**
HTA Clinical Trials funding stream broadened.
The HTA programme's successful responsive funding strem is extending its remit enabling researchers to submit evaluation studies falling within the remit of the HTA programme. This includes feasibility, pilot studies and proposals for evidence synthesis alongside normal clinical trials

The NIHR Service Delivery and Organisation Programme wishes to commission research on a whole system transformation programme, including the introduction and use of lean management in healthcare organisations.
Ref. LM255: Evaluating a whole system transformation of a group of healthcare provider and commissioning organisations based on Toyota production system.

To fund investigator-led research proposals that have clear translational goals, and will consider applications from across the UK.
The deadline for outline proposals is the 6th October 2008, for the Committee meeting on the 17th November.
